I live and work on unceded lands of the Multnomah, Wasco, Cowlitz, Clackamas, Kathlamet, Chinook, Tualatin, Kalapuya and Molala tribes.

I am endlessly grateful to all who have, and continue to be protectors and stewards of this land. I am also in deep reverence and respect for the land itself and all the creatures who we share this beautiful place with.

I am the descendant of colonizers, living on stolen land, in a society that was built on racism, genocide, slavery, exploitation, white supremacy, and homophobia. I understand that the effects of these policies still impact BIPOC and LGBTQ+ people, and that I continue to benefit from white privilege. I promise to be an advocate and an accomplice, and to work towards liberation for all oppressed people.

I acknowledge that the modalities I practice come from cultures that are not my own. All the knowledge I utilize in my practice was selectively extracted and exploited from eastern cultures through colonization. I name and honor these ancient lineages of Chinese Medicine, Yoga, Pranayama, Ayurveda, and Indigenous traditions tracing back to the African Diaspora . I am grateful to the ones who have kept these practices alive for thousands of years, despite imperialist violence. As a white bodied practitioner I am aware of the harm that was done in order for me to have access to these teachings- and I hope that sharing them will cause no further harm and instead contribute to healing and liberation for all people.

“Colonialism and slavery were the foundations of capitalism”
